Wonderful Moments #simplestamping Card Tutorial

This is todays card its a lovely mum to be card,
I have kept it extremely simple and effective so all levels of cardmakers can do this.

Card base is A6 -  Bought prescored ( I love the deckled edge)
I cut a circle of Mint Macaron for the one above
the one below is Highland Heather
I adhered the circles in place
then stamped out the mums in Memento Tuxedo Black
Then coloured  the top one with Shaded Spruce Light and Dark Stampin Blends
the bottom one was Highland Heather Light and Dark Stampin Blends
For the skin I used Ivory and the hair
I did a base of Ivory and then added tones using both Crumb Cakes Light and Dark top one I had a lot of dark crumb cake and the bottom light touches of the dark only amazing how the exact same colours for the hair can give such wide variations.

I then stamped the sentiments top one using Mint Macaron and the bottom using Highland Heather

Love this set and will be used for so many occasions x

the Main Colours used

Video tutorial for this card will be at the bottom x I hope you have enjoyed this simple card x

Super Cute Scrap Caterpillar Card

Today's Card is another simple one aimed for for the little people in our life's

Using your scrap box, drawer or however you store them we all have scraps
then a 1" circle Punch
a biro or fine tipped black pen
and some googly eyes
and any sentiment with a nice child like feel to it.

Punch out 6 circles using 3 different colours or patterns ( ideal for DSP that has retired perhaps ;) )
then simply position them from bottom end to the head over lapping slightly as you adhere them to the card.
Once they are down grab your eyes and your fine tip glue pen and add a tiny dot of glue for each eye and drop them on, no googly eyes? be creative Rhinestones in Black, sequins or even draw them.
then add 2 strokes of pen under all the circles minus the head to give you feet.
The sentiment I used was congratulations from the limited edition Happiness Surrounds,
I loved the font very child friendly.
and use a colour to complement your caterpillar.
And your done.
How simple was that?
and so so cute.

Show me 5!!! Beautiful Promenade Stampin' Up!

Sorry I am running late x normally my show me 5!!! series are made well in advance and they are ready for scheduling on a set day but i have not been on top form the past few weeks and I have fell behind so I literally finished this collection this morning and filmed it at 8.15am but my hands ended up very sore so couldnt have typed out a long blog post sadly so I am only just getting it done now.

So the set I am working with is Beautiful Promenade

the papers are so pretty and are absolute statements in their own rights
and the sentiments in the stamp set and the fonts ( I am a total font freak) are just perfect.

The colours used in this suite are

So here are the projects I made and how they are achieved x

This card is using Mossy Meadow as my man mat layer colour
The card is a 6x6 Pre bought and scored
I cut my mossy meadow layer to 5 3/4" x 5 3/4"
I taped this down only at the top and the bottom so I could add my ribbon in to each side later.
I cut 4 whisper white panels measuring 2 1/4" x 2 1/4"
I cut 4 DSP layers at 2" x 2" ( so that they lined up I marked all of the sections with a small cross on the corners that would make up the square so the first panel I marked top left, second panel top right,
3rd panel bottom left and last one bottom right this just makes sure when you are adhering them that they are all in sync.
I then glued the DSP on to the white panels and then adhered them to the mat layer
trying to keep the layers as lined up as possible.
I then added some Whisper White polka tulle
and then tied a knot and trimmed the ends I then added the large flower which I had stamped with Blushing Bride outline and inside, then used a weak wash of fresh fig to add depth of colour and added 5 rhinestones coloured using blackberry bliss stampin blends. The flower is on dimensionals so it sits just above the knot.
The remnants of the tulle ribbon I added below my sentiment which was stamped with Fresh Fig.

Nice easy one
Mossy Meadow 10cm x 14.3cm
DSP 9.5cm x 13.8cm
Vellum 15cm (so we can tuck and adhere behind DSP Layer) x 4cm
The Flower is Stamped with Grapefruit Grove and I then coloured a scrap of card using nuvo embellishment mousse (coral caylpso is the colour) then I adhered the stamped image on top and trimmed it around leaving a thin border.
I coloured a scrap of vellum using old olive stampin blends
then punched out using the spring punch.
I then added a tiny amount of gold stickles and I mean tiny amount just enough for it to catch the light. and to finish it I added some details using the nuvo mousse on to the large flower as the colours matched perfectly x

Used Fresh Fig as my base 14.3cm x 10cm
DSP 13.8cm x 9.5cm
I Stamped the flower using Fresh Fig then added a faded wash using fresh fig
I added some sparkle to the stamen using Sakura Clear stardust pen
Leaves I stamped using mossy meadow
fussy cut both ( wish I had my thinlits)
I added the Fresh Fig ruffled Ribbon ( my gosh that is a stunning ribbon reminder to myself to order more lol)
The sentiment I used the everyday label punch but adapted the punchout to make it smaller worked out well, will show this technique in a quick video soon.

This cards gorgeous and so easily put together
stamping background measures 14.3cm x 10cm
I stamped using the leaves and mossy meadow ink pad first and second generation stamping to give me a variety.
I then used an old wink of stella pen which has been refilled countless times but still gives me a tiny bit of sparkle so I washed over the leaves to give them a little faded wash.
I the mossy meadow card layer measures 14.3cm x 5.3cm
DSP 14.3cm x 4.9cm
the flower was stamped using Petal Pink and then added a wash of colour over it to deepen the colour, I then coloured some Mossy meadow scrap with nuvo mousse pure platinum gives the leaves a really funky effect as you can in parts see the mossy meadow through it the leaves I accomplished using the leaf punch.
I also used the same technique for the everyday label punch and then the sentiment I stamped in mossy meadow and trimmed down neatly and rounded the corners and added it to the everyday label punch out then using my finger smudged some of the pure platinum to distress it and love the effect as it lifted some of the mossy meadow stunning.

This is a lovely card which is gorgeous but has very little weight to it so perfect for sending to international friends.
I fussy cut out the edge floral border from the DSP
The flower I chose the berry burst which isnt part of the colours in this set but it matched some of the tones in the border piece perfectly.
I used some silver heat embossing and then gave it a little wash with the berry burst ( be careful less is more berry burst is a VIBRANT colour)

This one is featured in the video added below

Two Cards - 1 Layout

This is such a fun layout with unlimited possibilities.

This first layout I used Mossy Meadow and Gold Foil Paper
The bottom half of the card is using the tree stamp from "snow is glistening" and just turning the stamp 180 degrees to give me a seamless background.
I used versamark and gold embossing powder I just taped off the top section using a bit of washi tape and a scrap of white paper.
Once the area is stamped I added the gold embossing powder and then carefully removed the washi tape and scrap paper then using your heat tool melt the embossing powder
I then took the ribbon border punch and punched out the ribbon using the gold foil paper
I then stamped the sentiment using the same gold embossing powder, and backed with the gold foil paper, and chose 3 snowflakes from my collection of diecuts which were from Snowfall Thinlits and Blizzard Thinlit I love to mix and match both these sets together.
I think the mossy meadow and gold foil look fantastic together.

a6 Cardbase
Gold Foil Layer 14.3cm x 10cm
Mossy Meadow Layer 13.8cm x 9.5cm

For this one I have used the exact same layout just a different version

I used the Early Espresso for my cardbase
21cm x 14.cm - score at 10.5cm to give you a perfect A6 card base
I then cut some Gold Glimmer paper to 13.8cm x 10cm
(I did die cut and punch a lot from the glimmer paper to save waste)
I then layered on Cherry Cobbler measuring 12.8cm x 9cm
I then added a bit of the tartan paper measuring 7cm x 8.5cm
I then added another punch out from the ribbon border punch from the gold glimmer paper.
I stamped the the sentiment on to a scrap of early espresso and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder.
I then added that to the card and popped up on dimensionals
behind the sentiment I added a few gold glimmer paper sprigs using the sprig punch
and some little circles of merry merlot glimmer paper to represent the holly berries

I was pleased how they turned out x
Hope you have a go, heres the video tutorial of the bottom card.

Floral Frames Card Tutorial

Todays card is bright and happy and I have chose the Floral Frames Stamp Set
This does come as bundle saving you 10% but I purchased the stamp on the 30th anniversary sale so dont have the dies (yet)

This was really just a card I was playing and it came together so recreated it for sharing with you all.

I took a scrap of Linen textured paper and coloured it using my stampin blends
I started from left to right
Light Mango Melody
Dark Mango Melody
Light Calypso Coral
Dark Calypso Coral
Light Lovely Lipstick
Dark Lovely Lipstick
I then turned the paper over face down on my glass mat
I took a baby wipe and soaked it with rubbing alcohol and swiped it across my scrap this way it would blend the inks a lot easier but wouldn't remove much colour.

It turned out fab

The stamping I used versamark then versafine onxy black and heat embossed it with Clear embossing powder this made the black pop and gave it a glossy finish and another plus is it stopped the blends bleeding too much.
I used the same colours for the background for the flowers and the leaves I used old olive light and dark, I then coloured a bit of scrap vellum with some of the green blends ( old olive light and dark and Shaded spruce light and dark) and punched them out using the leaf punch
This punch is a must have for anyone who likes florals

I have added the video tutorial below

Snow is Glistening Card Tutorial

This suite is absolutely stunning and makes thee most beautiful cards imaginable.

Here are a few samples

Stunning aren't they?
So I have had a play and I actually created an online PDF class for demonstrators only to purchase.
But of course I wanted to show others what this gorgeous set can do.

I created this card using the colours
Night of Navy and Silver Foil Paper
absolutely adore this colour combo it is such a bold and beautiful statement when put together.

But for the video I chose Merry Merlot and Copper Foil Paper

So to create this card I kept the design so simplistic so that the stamp and dies
could sing.

I cut my Cardstock to 21cm x 14.8cm
Scored at 10.5 to give you an A6 card base
I cut the Copper foil Paper to 14.3cm x 10cm
I then cut some Merry Merlot to 12.8cm x 8.5cm
Next get a bit of Merry Merlot ( big enough for the stamp)
Using your Embossing Buddy powder over your card this prevents static
then using Versamark stamp your Tree image onto your card and then add copper embossing powder and tap off excess gently then heat to melt and allow the powder to change.
Repeat this step with your "joy" sentiment.

Once this is done Use your 1 1/4" circle punch to punch out the sentiment.
For the tree trim out leaving a small border of the merry merlot all the way around,
Then back this on to copper foil paper ( feel free to use your 14.3cmx10cm layer for this no-one will see it, if you trim out the center)
I then used a mixture of copper foil paper and copper glimmer paper and die cut the snowflakes from the snowfall thinlets & the blizzard die, I like that these co-ordinate beautifully.

I then put the card together using tombow the tree I popped up on dimensionals and the sentiment which was placed over a larger snowflake.

To be honest this card is super simple to make that ANYONE can make with just a tiny bit of patience, take it slowly and step by step and it is achievable.

I hope you enjoy this tutorial
