Fun and Funky Happy Birthday Stampin' Up!

Another nice quick one but with a fun and messy technique
See video below for that step lol

I used Lemon Lime Twist cardstock
Cut my A4 in half at 14.8cm and then scored in half at 10.5cm
My matt layer is blueberry bushel cardstock cut at 14.3cm x 10cm
My whisper white stamping layer is 12.8 cm x 8.5cm
I used the large happy birthday stamp from the set called one for all
such a versatile set that can be used year in year out.

I stamped using the colours being added to my glass cutting mat and then spritzing with shimmer paint champagne mist.
love the effect so shimmery and sparkly
Finished off with a selection of iridescent sequins
fun technique that gives you such an easy card to make.

Beautiful Promenade

This week I am doing a few quick(ish) cards as I have been under the weather and have fallen behind but want to make sure you have a regular amount of projects to catch up on at my set days Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

This is the set I am working with today
It beautiful and the font and sentiments for me make the set 100%

So for the card
I used an A6 card base
Petal Pink Mat Layer is 14.3cm x 10cm
Whisper White Stamping Layer is 13.8cm x 9.5cm
I added a little bit of Powder Pink Ruffle Ribbon 11/12cm enough to wrap behind and glue down with glue dots
I stamped the outline of the largest flower with Flirty Flamingo
The inside of the flower I used Petal Pink
For the flowers I used Granny Apple Green nice and vivid.
For the sentiment I used Flirty Flamingo
Trimmed it to near the text and then layered it on to Petal Pink and gave it a fine border just by eye.

I then used my ink pad and acrylic block and added more colour using a wink of stella so it was super sparkly.
I also added a tiny bit of granny apple green to a block and filled in the leaves with a very diluted tint of the granny apple green it worked perfectly.

To finish off I added 3 basic Rhinestones.

Stampin' Up! Wonderful Moments

This cheerful card was made using the photopolymer stamp set "Wonderful Moments" the three main images are this one, a bride and an expectant mum
its a wonderful set for big female celebrations and I think it is a must have some of the sentiments are beautiful too and yip the fonts are perfect too.

I used my prescored A6 card base
Layered with Powder Pink cardstock measuring 14.3cm x 10cm
I cut my stamping layer to 12.3cm x 8cm
I used the ribbon edge punch and made the little silver glimmer border and tucked it under the stamping layer sometimes all it needs is a little sparkle.
I stamped the images with versafine Black Onyx its my go to I cannot fine an ink that stamps as crisply and until I do I am sticking with my old faithful.
To colour I kept it very simple with just a few Stampin Blends
Ivory for her skin
Light Calypso Coral for her dress
Dark Calypso Coral for her shoes
The balloons I choose
Light Mango Melody
Light Bermuda Bay
Light Old Olive
I then added a hint of wink of stella on the balloons
and finished off with a layer from the fine tip glue pen

The sentiment I added a tiny scrap of powder pink ruffle ribbon under it and lastly 3 rhinestones .

Show me 5!!! Dashing Deer Stampin Up

Today I am showcasing the Dashing Deer and Detailed Deer Thinlits

This bundle is absolutely stunning and will never get out of date.

I have made so many projects using this bundle and they are all different some subtle some VERY different and I love each and everyone of them.

So lets get going with the 5 projects

Card base is Crumb Cake a6 cut your A4 down to 14.8 cm and then turn and score at 10.5cm
giving you the perfect card base.
I then added a layer of copper glimmer paper measuring 14.3cm x 10cm
and last layer is DSP from Joyous Noel ( nearly wrote it in French Joyeux Noel, looks better haha)
I then Stamped my filigree Deer with Merry Merlot Ink on to very vanilla and then heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder to give a glossed look.
The Sentiment I stamped with versamark on a scrap of very vanilla cardstock I then heat embossed with Stampin Up Copper Embossing powder and layered it on a scrap of copper glimmer paper and popped it on with dimensionals but stopped as I felt I needed to add a ribbon or twine something but none worked and then opted for a strip of glimmer paper in Copper I didnt measure the width I think possibly 1/4" or there abouts x
I then added some copper thread to behind the deers antlers and give it the tangled look and used some wee rhinestones and sequins to decorate it further.

I like it but I think if I was to recreate it I would just use a small portion of the DSP as it is just a little too busy x but hey you live and learn x

My Standard A6 card base
I then took a layer of Whisper White and cut it to 14.3cm x 10cm
I got a bit of DSP from the All is Bright Collection and I chose a soft muted design I then added a strip of Classic Weave Crumb Cake Ribbon (gorgeous to work with)
I took a scrap of Crumb Cake cardstock (didnt measure that) and layered it on some whisper white and trimmed it down to give me a nice thin border, I then took the leaping Deer and die cut it using shimmer white cardstock so it gave a little something different to stand out a bit.
Lastly the sentiment I stamped using Crumb Cake Ink on Crumb Cake Cardstock trimmed it around the sentiment and then layered on Whisper white and again trimmed to give me a thin border around x No extra decoration I wanted it super simple and classy

This is us hitting the luxury end of the christmas look.
A6 Card Base from Very Vanilla Card base
I used Gold Foil Paper cut to 14.3cm x 10cm
I took some Very Vanilla and cut to 13.3cm x 9cm
I then got a bit of DSP from the joyous Noel and cut a strip at 1.5" and trimmed it to fit the length of the card. I die cut our Leaping Deer from the Gold Foil Paper (before I stuck it down)
The sentiment I embossed with Gold Embossing powder on Very Vanilla and trimmed to around the sentiment and then layered on a scrap of gold foil paper and once again trimmed to give a thin border and then I propped it up on dimensionals.
No extra decorations as to be honest I think this looks luxurious as it is and any decoration would cheapen the look I had achieved.

Now for a masculine themed card
I have male family who are in same sex relationships and some Christmas cards I just feel are to feminine and just dont fit who they are for so I like to make a few masculine orientated themed cards too.
Early Espresso A6 Card Base
Gold Embossed Card measures 14.3cm x 10cm
Early Espresso layer measures 12.8cm x 8.5cm ( I wanted more of that stunning embossed card to show, its been in my stash and I absolutely love and will seriously cry when I run out lol)
The deer I die cut prior to sticking down I also stamped the sentiment with versamark and heat embossed with Gold embossing powder on to the early espresso and took a scrap of the gold embossed card and backed the sentiment on to that.
I then stuck down the Deer so simple but I absolutely love the finished card and I am sure my Brother in Law and his husband will love the card also.

This is our Video Tutorial card and it is so simple and pretty
Standard A6 card base
Balmy Blue layer 14.3cm x 10cm
Whisper White 13.8cm x 9.5cm
Deer is stamped on whisper white with Balmy Blue ink and die cut
The squares behind the deer are the 5th smallest straight and the 5th smallest Scalloped squares from the layering squares dies both were cut from whisper white and then I added the colour to the scalloped one using my stampin write marker in balmy blue perfect for saving you buying tons of coloured cardstock or in my case saved me pulling our balmy blue cardstock it was just quicker lol.
I stamped the semtiment on Whisper white with Balmy blue and then trimmed around the sentiment and layered on a bit of balmy blue scrap and trimmed to give me a thin border.
The inking on the background was so simple I used the textured background stamp from the Spooky Sweets Stamp set and then using a very soft brush I blended the Balmy Blue ink in the bottom right corner and I love the effect so pretty.
to finish my card off I added 3 Clear rhinestones and thats it done x easily done with so many variations different shapes behind the deer, different colours and patterns for the inking just have a play x

Here is the video tutorial below

And a few more cards using this bundle

Healing Hugs

How gorgeous is this card? I originally made this card using Gorgeous grape and then for the video tutorial I opted for the Highland Heather which is ever so slightly softer looking than the Gorgeous grape but I love both of them equally x they are purple so I am happy so easily pleased x

As some of you may know my mum was in hospital for going on 5wks but she got home the other day and with my agoraphobia I haven't saw her in person although we have facetimed lots x
I am hoping to go over and see her this evening for a little bit and this card just was perfect.
I love the font ( I am a font addict) and the purple tones are just gorgeous.
So how did I make this card?

Materials
A6 card base
Layer of Highland heather measuring 14.3cm x 10cm
Layer of Whisper White measuring 13.3cm x 9cm
Highland heather Ink pad
Granny Apple Green Ink pad
Healing hugs Stamp Set
Frost White Shimmer Paint
Optional Sakura Clear Stardust Gel Pen
Tombow Glue
Stampin Dimensionals

Method
  1. Fold your Card case and burnish
  2. Adhere your Highland Heather layer to the card base and set aside for now
  3. Get some scrap whisper white and stamp out your images, 1 of the large flower in highland heather and 2 leaves in granny apple green
  4. Fussy cut the images out
  5. Find where on the whisper white layer you want your flower to go once you have an idea mark on the whisper white with a pencil lightly where the center of the flower will be.
  6. Using the foliage bunch ink it up using the granny apple green and stamp from the pencil mark out so that your foliage will be seen behind the flower, I stamped it 3 times but you can suit yourself with what is best 2/3.
  7. I then popped my large flower up on dimensionals
  8. I then took my fussy cut leaves and shaped them using my pokey tool and my thumb and gave them some dimension so make them more natural and realistic looking.
  9. Once I was happy with the shape I added a bit of tombow to the bottom and positioned it under the flower. and repeated for the other leaves.
  10. I then took the sentiment and stamped it using highland heather on a 3/4" piece of whisper white and then backed it on to some highland heather and trimmed it to give me a nice border.
  11. Lastly I took my Frost White Shimmer paint and using a sponge finger dauber I added some to the large flower to give it a pearilized look, and took my sakura gel pen and added highlights on to the leaves and the foliage in the background.
Done x

Below is the video tutorial x Enjoy

Show me 5!!! Peaceful Noel Stamp Set

Peaceful Noel Stamp Set
Sprig Punch (amazing all year round punch)

A6 card base
Gray Granite measuring 14.3cm x 10cm
The DSP is from the Joyous Noel Speciality DSP it is luxurious and elegant
I didnt measure it as it was a scrap piece in my stash but I trimmed the ends to 14.3cm so it lined up with my mat layer below.
I die cut the 2 largest stitched shape framelits in the Ovals
The Copper Foil for the largest and the Gray Granite the smaller of the two.
I punched various copper foil sprigs and then wrapped a little wreath of copper thread and stuck it where I would be positioning my sentiment banner.
I then Stamped the sentiment using Gray Granite as I wanted it subtle and then I adhered it to the Copper Stitched Oval Shape and then Popped them up on dimensionals,
Where I had the banner I slid under some of the copper sprigs above the copper thread it looked fab, last element I added was Copper sequins from the metallic sequins and lastly added the clear rhinestones to the larger of the sequins.

Such a luxurious card x

This card I chose the one colour palette Tranquil Tide
I took a layer of whisper white measuring 14.3cm x 10cm
I then took my Pine Bough from the stamp set and randomly stamped all over the card and doing first and second generation I could most likely have got a third generation too but I was happy with this x
I then took a sheet of Tranquil Tide Cardstock and trimmed it to 14.3 cm x 6.2cm
I then added a strip of Tranquil Tide Glimmer Paper to the top and bottom Under the Cardstock
Gives the impression of another layer but saves you using lots of your glimmer paper.
I show this technique and how to achieve it in the attached video below.
I then adhered to the cardstock to the stamped whisper white and then adhered both of them to the card base.
I then took the whisper white scrap and using the tranquil tide ink pad I stamped the sentiment and then punched it using the 2 1/4" circle punch.
I then used my sponge dauber and inked the edges of the circle with tranquil tide and then popped it up on dimensionals.
I then punched out some sprigs from Tranquil Tide Glimmer Paper and positioned them under the sentiment circle and lastly I took the gold faceted Gems and coloured 3 of them with Dark Blackberry Bliss Stampin Blend.
it gives you a very close match to the Merry Merlot. but these I used as a berry element.
Again I sprinkled wink of stella all over :)

This card is a nice easy one
to give you a good template to work from use the inside of the die ( I used the second largest Stitched Shape Oval) and draw a light pencil line where you intend to add your die cut this gives you a line to work around.
I used all the foliage stamps
The watercoloured looking leaf I used Crumb Cake Ink
the branch I used Soft Suede
The pine bough I used Mossy Meadow
The large berry bunch I used merry merlot for both the outline and inside
The Leaf I stamped in Tranquil Tide and that was for both inside and outside.
and then I added some of the small inside only tiny berry stamp to add berrys on to the soft suede branch.
I used another of the stitch shaped framelits second largest oval cut from whisper white
and stamped my sentiment using Mossy Meadow.
I popped the sentiment up on dimensionals I then punched some to the sprigs from Mossy Meadow and some Tranquil Tide. I cut them all in half and positioned them around my oval tucking them under the sentiment to give the foliage more dimension.
I had to add in a wee bit of glitter glue to the larger berry bunch I chose Burgundy Stickles
Last up I took some clear rhinestones and coloured them with the dark old olive Stampin Blend
and positioned them on the card.

This one is pretty technique driven with a lot of stages
But the short version is I used the stamps on vellum and added clear embossing powder
it gives an almost wet look very unusual but I really like it x
I used the glimmer paper trick on this card too x
also another trick for the sentiment banner which I show in the video tutorial.
Again I added multiple tranquil tide sprig punches and then added the berries using the same Gold faceted Gems and dark blackberry bliss stampin blend. If you would like a more indepth tutorial on this please let me know x

A6 Cardbase
Merry Merlot Cardstock
14.3cm x 10cm
&
14.3cm x 6.2cm
DSP 2 strips 1.3cm x 14.3cm
Stitched Shaped Framelits 2 largest Squares
Largest Cut from Copper Foil Paper
2nd largest from Whisper White
Copper foil paper and Merry Merlot Glimmer Paper punched Sprigs

Adhere the largest merry merlot piece on to the card base
Use the technique of adding the DSP to the thinner strip of Merry Merlot Cardstock
one on both sides to give the illusion of a full layer see video for visual instruction.
and then adhere that to the card
The sentiment I added to the Whisper white but turned it to the diamond shape just for a wee bit more interest. I then adhered that to the copper foil square and finally added both of these on to the card with dimensionals. I finished it off with adding the mixture of sprigs to the side of the sentiment banner and added 3 rhinestones which were clear that I coloured using Dark Blackberry Bliss Stampin Blends

I hope you have enjoyed these 5 cards and how much use you could get from it
below is a video tutorial for the last card shown x
